- I'm married to my best friend for 4 years this November. We lost our first baby last May, and this is an honest account of my attempt to heal from the loss. I'm an RN at the only Pediatric ICU in our region, a job I am proud of and I love. I'm the proud owner of a Miniature Schnauzer named Bobby. He's the best dog in the world.

Yes, that's "always" the first thing someone says when they hear that I ride a motorcycle--they relate a motorcycle accident story. But I understand where you are coming from.
I was afraid of riding them at first. But I stuck with it until I wasn't afraid any more. There is a strange rush when you know that the slightest mistake could end your life. Death isn't such a bad thing.
